An Idea Born From Tragedy
WEbelieved we were doing a good thing for our pet by taking him to socialize and exercise at a local doggie daycare facility. One day, we dropped him off and returned that afternoon to pick up only his collar. Our puppy Moses was killed at a place we thought was safe. Even though we weren’t first time pet owners, we learned that you don’t know what you don’t know.
The truth is no regulations exist to monitor the treatment of animals at dog daycares and other pet-sitting businesses, unlike grooming services and pet stores. We have since dedicated our time with Safer Place for Pups to ensure this never happens to another animal.
