We love our dogs, and if there’s any way to build loyalty and ensure long-lasting love, it’s to spoil them real good! We’ve put together a list of our top 10 ways to spoil your dog. Enjoy!
Lots of Treats: (Within reason, don’t let these become a substitute for meals) Find multiple opportunities to reward your pet with treats for good behavior and obedience to everyday routine.
Take Them to the Pet Store to Pick Out New Toys: Who doesn’t love new toys? Dogs are no different. If they’ve managed to wear out or lose some old ones, then a trip to your local Petsmart may be in order to build the stash back up again. Who doesn’t love these adorable videos like this one?
Let Them Sleep In Your Bed: This one is solely up to you, especially if you own a larger breed and/or one that sheds. But dogs love sleeping close to their humans. Consider sharing your bed with your pooch if you haven’t already.
Walks: Not only are these great exercise for your dog, but you’ll get some fresh air as well. The outdoors are always a great bonding experience for you and your dog.
Trips to the Park: Whether it’s the dog park or a regular local park, your dog will love the opportunity to interact with other dogs and people.
Road Trips: More and more hotel and lodging accommodations are pet friendly, plus the price of boarding can add up quick if you frequently travel. Consider bringing your dog along to add a new element to your adventures, along with making memories that last a lifetime.
Peanut Butter in a Kong Ball: It’s a healthy and delicious treat for your dog, plus the kong ball will keep them occupied for hours if you can’t constantly give them attention.
Doggy Daycare: Even if you aren’t leaving town, consider a trip to doggy daycare every once in awhile.
